Meet the Chiropractor

Michael Rudoni is a Oviedo chiropractor who serves Oviedo and the surrounding communities in FL.

Growing up in Metro Detroit, Dr. Rudoni was like anybody else at that time. When he got "sick" the local medical doctor would give him penicillin and send him on his way. As Dr. Rudoni got older, he started questioning the reasoning behind the same drug for every cough, cold, or sinus problem he would have. By the time Dr. Rudoni was a teenager, he was able to convince his parents not to take him to the family medical doctor, but the local chiropractor for an adjustment. As months, then years went by, not only did he not get sick as often, but when he did, the symptoms would only last a day or two instead of a week or more.

As Dr. Rudoni began learning and understanding how the body worked, he began to know that a cough, cold or body ache was the body expressing symptoms of an underlying problem and drugs simply covered them up, they did not fix what was causing it. This understanding came into play, even more importantly, when as a college junior, Dr. Rudoni was involved in a serious car accident.

The accident sent a series of events into motion that would eventually lead Dr. Rudoni to become a chiropractor. The first week after the accident there was pain and stiffness in his entire back and neck. Thinking that this would just go away, weeks went by.  As time passed, his body was changing for the worse. Symptoms of headaches, indigestion, heart burn, numbing and tingling in his arms and legs started to appear. Then one afternoon, the pain was so bad, he had to call a friend to take him to the emergency room. Hours later, after tests and x-rays were taken, he was sent home with muscle relaxers and pain pills. A week later, Dr. Rudoni was being told that there was nothing wrong and that he should stop faking his injury. There had to be a better answer. It was chiropractic!

Dr. Rudoni already knew that Chiropractic was great for your immune system function. Now he learned that any trauma to the spine could not only injure your muscles, ligaments, and tendons, but if the force was sufficient it could cause bones in your spine to "shift" out of their normal position. When this happens, it not only causes pain, but decreases function of organs and glands due to the spinal nerves having pressure on them. After just a few weeks of chiropractic care, Dr. Rudoni was already feeling much better. Not only did the pain start to disappear, the headaches, stomach problems, all began to heal as a result of chiropractic adjustments. Over the next few months, Dr. Rudoni had a complete recovery from the injuries he received from the accident.
